With 17 games remaining entering Tuesday's game in Philadelphia, the Islanders already have matched last season's win total and are one point behind the 61 points they totaled last season in finishing dead last in the 30-team NHL. Still, the Isles have dropped 11 of their last 14 games, including Saturday's 3-2 loss to Boston, to slide to 13th place in the Eastern Conference—six points behind the No. 8 Atlanta Thrashers, who have played three fewer games (62) than the Isles (65).
