During some Dallas Stars games, fans were entertained with the multiple-choice fun of "What Would Stu Do?" starring center Stu Barnes. Now the veteran center is in the midst of answering that question in terms of his career. As the summer progresses, Barnes continues to ponder his future. He could play again, after finishing a one-year deal this past season. Or he could move on, possibly to a coaching position with the Stars. Barnes has been enjoying his down time with family, and co-general manager Les Jackson hasn't talked to Barnes regarding any decision he's made. But the decision isn't an easy one. Barnes was looking every bit his tough, reliable self right up until his collision with Sharks forward Jonathan Cheechoo in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals.

The Dallas Stars acquired right wing Lauri Tukonen from the Los Angeles Kings for left wing Richard Clune on Monday. Tukonen was Los Angeles' first-round selection, No. 11 overall, in the 2004 draft. He has skated in five career NHL games with the Kings. Tukonen, 21, spent last season with Manchester of the AHL and had nine goals and 26 assists in 62 games.
