Stars Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

Marty Turco has been traveling the road from one extreme to the other this season. Heck, he's even been riding extremes this last week. On Thursday he reached what had to be one of the lows of this season, getting pulled about 22 minutes into a game before which he was honored for 500 career contests.

But on a night when his team needed him most, and when Turco himself really needed to have a great performance, Turco came through in the most stellar fashion.

Turco's outing in a shootout victory against the Washington Capitals on Monday was indeed an extreme. He faced 52 shots, and no goaltender should ever have to do that outside of a multi-overtime playoff game. His 49 stops were a career best in a regular-season game.
