| Blackhawks Team Report (Yahoo! Sports) |
The Blackhawks have had a favorable schedule since the NHL's break for the Winter Olympics. They played four of their five post-Olympics games at the United Center. Now things change. The Hawks visit the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, return home for a tough (and nationally televised) home game Sunday against the league's top team, the Washington Capitals, and then go on the road for three straight on the West Coast—March 17 at Anaheim, March 18 at Los Angeles and March 20 at Phoenix. Goaltending remains the Hawks' biggest concern with 16 games left in the regular season. Neither Cristobal Huet nor Antti Niemi has established himself as the clearcut starter. Both were yanked once during the five games since the Olympic break, and coach Joel Quenneville would like to...

| Sharp scores in OT for Chicago (AP) |
Chicago's Patrick Sharp was all alone, hanging back a bit in overtime and waiting for a chance the puck might come his way in a 4-on-4 game. And when Los Angeles' Brad Richardson made an errant pass in the center of the rink, Dave Bolland picked it off and quickly sent it in Sharp's direction. |

| 5-goal second period lifts Red Wings over Chicago (AP) |
Not even a hat trick by Chicago's Andrew Ladd could sidetrack the Detroit Red Wings. Pavel Datsyuk capped a five-goal second period and Detroit rallied for a 5-4 victory over the Blackhawks on Sunday. Ladd's first goal of the game gave Chicago a 2-0 lead in the first period, but Detroit took charge in the second before Ladd added two more goals in the final period. |

Sidelined all season by a knee injury, Chicago Blackhawks forward Adam Burish has been activated from injured reserve. The 27-year-old Burish tore the ACL in his right knee during a preseason game at Minnesota on Sept. 20 and underwent surgery five days later. He had career highs with six goals and nine points in 66 games last season before collecting three goals and two assists in the playoffs.
